OSCARS 2013.
The 2013 Osacrs will go down in history as one of the most sophomoric, moronic, and crass Oscars ever for me. I felt What's his name was the worst host in history. 17 mins for the Damn show to even begin and at that it was an embarassing display of high school historonics.
The fashion was not much better. Very light colors that almost were non-exixtant on the wearers or colors so bright that was all you could see. Jane Fonda in that Versace looked like a very sexy French's mustard bottle.
If you were a gentleman your hair was longer and messier than the woman you were standing next to.
I thought the men that wore the 3 piece tuxedo's looked smashing.
Jennifer Lawrence, that dress would have been perfectr with a veil and a bouquet of lilly of the valley,
otherwise unless you were meeting your groom later in Vegas, TOO MUCH DRESS AND IN WHITE NO LESS. Did you not read my notes on J-LO at The Golden Globes?
Overall it was very lack luster, where are the daring girls like Cher that even though what she wore was always all wrong, we could not wait for the spice it added. Nobody shows their own personality anymore at these awards shows. Everything is all by the book. Its boring. I like the wrong, cause when right shows up it looks all the better.
Nonetheless, here are my picks for what they are worth.
1-Charlize Theron in DIOR, if you are going to wear white, wear it like Charlize all slick and modern and self-assured.
2- Jennifer Garner in GUCCI, The color was jewel tone perfection on her and I love the ruffle in the rear!
3-Jessica Chastain in Armani Prive, it was old school Hollywood Glamour perfection. The color was a bit light on her and looked almost nude on her, somehow it worked for me, she was all Rita Hayworth.
Honorable Mention goes to Zoe Saldana-Alexis Mabille was a bold choice, the right combination of modern and vitage to me. She goes out on a limb and I like it.

GOLDEN GLOBES 2013
FIRST LET ME SAY IT WAS A SAFE YEAR WITH FEW SURPRISES. THE ONE TREND I DID NOTICE IS SIDE SWEPT HAIR. I HATE SIDE SWEPT HAIR, IT LOOKS VERY DEMI-MONDI.
(WHORISH.)
STAPLESS STILL RULED, WHEN IT SHOULD NOT HAVE.
LOTS OF BORING BLACK, ALWAYS GOOD BUT NOT MUCH OF A STATEMENT.
Number 1- is Jessica Alba, the perfect Oscar dress in the perfect color with the perfect Harry Winston jeweles on the perfect girl!
Number 2-Kate Hudson in Alexander McQueen, of all the black on the Red Carpet Nicole and Kate in
Alexander McQueen did it best.
Number 3-Nicole Kidman-Smash! In the embroidery bees and illusion corset McQueen.
Number 4-Julieanne Moore in Master Tom Ford. Elegant, modern with just enough edge to keep it from being boring.
Number 5-Jessica Chastain in Calvin Klein Couture. The color is suberb on her and her make-up was the best of the night by far. I do think the top gave her a saggy bosom look.
Number 6-Lucy Lui in Carolina Herrea. This is to much dress for a petite girl but I applaud her choice, she stood out! It has a very Marie Antoinette feel and I love the upholstry fabric.
Number 7-Catherine-Zeta Jones. Tammy Wynette wants her dress back she has a gig at the Grand Ole Opry.
